2023 Summer Camp is at Camp Chawanakee from 7/23 – 7/29

Chawanakee is a historic camp that was founded on Shaver Lake in 1946 and began hosting scouts in 1947.

Camp Chawanakee offers opportunities for scouts to develop their unit and personal programs in a concentrated, full-time achievement environment. Camp Chawankee offers a variety of programs and the opportunity to earn over 40 merit badges.

Camp activities include: camp fires, hiking, climbing tower, rifle and shotgun shooting, sail boating, C.O.P.E and more. For more information, check out their website

Cost:

Scout Price: $625.00

Adult Price: $360.00

Payment Option #1:

Payment in full

Payment Option #2:

Due: 01/23 (ASAP)…….$145 per person (both Scout & Adult) 

Due: 02/20…….$125 per person (both Scout & Adult) 

Due: 03/27…….$175 per Scout & $50 per Adult

Due: 04/24…… $180 per Scout and $40 Adult

We can add scouts/parents at any time.  But we cannot lower our numbers after April 24th.

Siblings Discount:

$50 off the cost of each scout. Discounts will be applied before final payments. Please let Heather know.

Merit Badge Sign-ups:

To qualify for Merit Badge Signups, you must have both the January and February payments submitted.  Classes fill up fast. 

Refunds:

In general, there are No Refunds at Camp Chawanakee. For unusual situation refunds will be considered on a “case-by-case” basis. Requests can be made by contacting the Camp Chawanakee Office.

Campership Applications:

Campership applications – The Ventura County Council is committed to ensuring that Scouts have the opportunity to attend camp, and as such, we provide scholarships to those in need to help them realize their camping dream.  Please speak with Mr. Sanders and Heather Davidson privately…Deadline March 27th.

RSVP:

If you are interested in attending summer camp, please response to this email with the name of scout and/or parent. My goal is to get a list of all scouts and adults wishing to attended camp and start payment options.  I need to get a head count ASAP to start the reservation process.
