Backbone Trail Hike is February 26th

The Backbone Trail hike will be on Saturday March 4th Sunday February 26th at 2pm. This is a 10 miler which means that if you are planning to do the Hiking Merit Badge, this hike is long enough to meet the distance requirement for one of your 10-mile hikes.

We will start at the Ray Miller trail head, hike to the fire road, then down into Sycamore Canyon, and up to the Danielson Ranch and the day use area. We will have lunch there, and then retrace our steps to return to the Ray Miller trail head. The hike will take the bulk of the day, but we should be back in time for dinner with our families.

This hike offers great views of the Pacific Ocean as well as Sycamore Canyon and the interior of the Santa Monica mountains.
